Introducing WhatsApp for Parents: Get Your Child's Progress Report, Pay, and More — Right From Your Phone

You can now message EduFocal on WhatsApp to check your child's Progress Report, pay for your subscription, sign up, and more — all powered by AI. Here's everything our WhatsApp assistant can do for Jamaican parents.

Your Child's Education, Right in WhatsApp

Check progress reports, pay subscriptions, and get personalised learning tips, all from the app you already use every day.

At EduFocal Academy, we know that Jamaican parents are busy. Between work, school runs, and everything else, finding time to sit down at a computer to check on your child's learning progress isn't always easy. That's why we've built something we're incredibly excited about: a fully intelligent WhatsApp assistant that puts your child's education at your fingertips.

Starting today, you can message EduFocal on WhatsApp and do almost everything you'd normally do on our website. Check how your child is performing in Mathematics, pay for your subscription, get personalised tips, all without leaving the app you already use every day.

Our WhatsApp number: +1 (831) 484-7450

Why WhatsApp?

WhatsApp is how Jamaica communicates. Over 80% of Jamaicans use WhatsApp daily. It's the first app most of us open in the morning and the last one we check at night. We wanted to meet parents where they already are, rather than asking them to download another app or remember another website login.

We also know that not every parent has a laptop or reliable broadband internet at home. But almost everyone has a phone with WhatsApp. By bringing EduFocal to WhatsApp, we're making it possible for every parent to stay involved in their child's PEP preparation, regardless of their device or internet situation.

Powered by AI, Not a Chatbot

This isn't one of those frustrating chatbots that only understands a handful of keywords and gives you the same canned response no matter what you type. Our WhatsApp assistant is powered by one of the world's most advanced AI systems.

What does that mean for you? It means you can message us the way you'd message a friend. You can say things like:

  • “How is Keisha doing in Maths?”
  • “My son hasn't been practising lately, can you check?”
  • “What subjects does Jaylen need to work on?”
  • “I want to renew my subscription”
  • “Can you tell me about pricing?”
  • “My child can't log in, help!”

The assistant understands natural language. It knows you're asking about your child's performance, and it goes and gets the real data from our system to give you an accurate, helpful answer. No scripted menus. No “press 1 for this, press 2 for that.” Just a real conversation.

Your Child's Progress Report, In WhatsApp

Curriculum-Aligned Progress Report

Powered by Quizzative, our curriculum intelligence engine. Get subject scores, strand breakdowns, and specific areas where your child excels or needs help. All aligned to Jamaica's PEP curriculum.

This is the feature we're most proud of. When you ask about your child's performance, our WhatsApp assistant pulls directly from the same Progress Report that powers our platform. This report is generated by Quizzative, our curriculum intelligence engine, and it's aligned to Jamaica's PEP curriculum.

Here's what you get when you ask “How is my child doing?”:

Subject-by-Subject Breakdown

You'll see how your child is performing in each PEP subject: Mathematics, Language Arts, Science, and Social Studies. But we don't just give you a single number. For each subject, you get:

  • Overall score showing what percentage of questions they're getting right
  • Total questions attempted so you know how much practice they've been putting in
  • Strand-by-strand breakdown with performance in specific topics like Number Theory, Geometry, Fractions, Reading Comprehension, etc.

What They Can Do, What They're Working On, What Needs Help

Instead of just throwing numbers at you, the report organises your child's progress into three clear categories:

Can Do

Topics your child has mastered. Celebrate these!

Working On

Making progress. They're getting there.

Needs Help

Needs extra practice and attention.

So instead of getting a message that says “Your child scored 68% overall” (which tells you almost nothing), you might get something like:

“Keisha is doing well in Mathematics overall (72%). She's strong in Geometry and Number Theory, and those are areas she's really mastered. Fractions is where she needs the most practice right now. I'd suggest spending 15-20 minutes daily on fraction exercises. In Language Arts, her Reading Comprehension is excellent (85%), but Grammar could use some more work.”

That's the kind of specific, actionable feedback that actually helps you support your child's learning.

Parent Tips

Every progress update comes with tailored parent tips based on your child's actual performance. If they're excelling in a subject, we'll suggest ways to keep the momentum going. If they're struggling, we'll give you practical advice on how to help, like which topics to prioritise, how much daily practice time to aim for, and how to build confidence by reviewing their strengths first.

Your child earns achievements and badges as they practice on EduFocal. Ask the assistant about their badges and celebrate their milestones together. It's a great motivator. Children love knowing their parents are keeping track of their wins.

Check Recent Activity

Wondering if your child has actually been using EduFocal this week? Ask the assistant. It will tell you when they were last active and how many questions they've been answering. It's a gentle way to stay in the loop without hovering.

Get Your Dashboard and Billing Links

How It Works

  • Step 1: Save our WhatsApp number: +1 (831) 484-7450
  • Step 2: Send us a message. Say anything. “Hi”, “How is my child doing?”, “I want to sign up”, whatever is on your mind.
  • Step 3: Our AI assistant responds instantly with helpful, personalised information pulled from your child's actual EduFocal data.
  • Step 4: Continue the conversation naturally. Ask follow-up questions, request more detail on a specific subject, or take an action like paying.

The assistant remembers the context of your conversation, so you don't have to repeat yourself. If you asked about Mathematics and then say “What about Science?”, it knows exactly what you mean.

Privacy and Security

We take your family's privacy seriously. Here's how we protect your data:

  • Your data stays yours. We only show you information about your own child, linked to your phone number on file.
  • No data sharing. The AI assistant cannot see or share information about any other family's account.
  • Secure payments. All payment links go through Stripe, the same payment processor used by companies like Google, Amazon, and Shopify. We never see or store your card details.
  • Conversation privacy. Your WhatsApp conversations are not stored permanently. Chat history expires after 30 minutes of inactivity.
  • Opt out anytime. If you ever want to stop receiving messages from us, just type STOP.

Automatic Weekly Progress Reports

In addition to being able to ask for updates anytime, parents who are subscribed to EduFocal automatically receive a weekly progress report via WhatsApp every Sunday evening. This report includes:

  • How many questions your child answered that week
  • Their overall accuracy
  • How many days they were active
  • Subject-by-subject performance
  • Personalised tips for the week ahead

You don't have to do anything to receive these. They come automatically as long as your phone number is on your EduFocal account.

Real Examples of What You Can Ask

Here are some real questions you can send to our WhatsApp assistant, and the kind of responses you'll get:

“How is my daughter doing?”

→ You'll get a full progress report with subject scores, strengths, areas to improve, and parent tips.

“Is she doing better in Science?”

→ The assistant will pull up Science specifically and show you strand-level detail, like whether she's strong in Living Things but needs work on Earth Science.

“My subscription expired, can I renew?”

→ The assistant will confirm your child's grade, ask which plan you'd like, and send you a payment link right there in the chat.

“How much does EduFocal cost?”

→ You'll get the pricing breakdown with both monthly and annual options, and the assistant can help you sign up on the spot.

“Has my son been practising this week?”

→ You'll see when he was last active and his recent activity summary.

“I need to speak to someone”

→ The assistant will immediately escalate to our team, and a real person will follow up with you.

Built for Jamaican Parents

Everything about this feature was designed with Jamaican parents in mind. Our assistant speaks in a warm, friendly tone that feels natural, not robotic or overly formal. It understands the Jamaican school system, knows about PEP, understands the curriculum, and can speak to the specific challenges of preparing for Grade 4, 5, and 6 exams.

We believe that every Jamaican child deserves the best possible preparation for PEP, and every parent deserves easy access to the tools and information that make that possible. WhatsApp is the bridge that connects busy parents to their child's education, and we're committed to making that bridge as smooth and helpful as possible.
